MPI network
[Communication]
The EM277A module communicate with other master stations on the same network such as PG/PC programming station, Copanel HMI or S7-300/S7-400CPU as an MPI slave station. Use XGET/XPUT instruction function of S7-300/400 and other main station modules to provide the network communication between MPI main station and CTSC-200. When the EM277A module conducts MPI communication, the MPI master station must use its station address to send information to the CTSC-200 CPU. The MPI informationsent to the EM277A module will be transmitted to the CTSC-200 CPU via EM277A.
[Function]
EM277A is a slave station device for MPI networks that can connect up to 6 extension modules for digital or analog I/O.
As MPI slave station, the EM 277A module can be run at any MPI baud rate between 9600 and 12M. Also receives a variety of different I/O configurations and different amounts of data from the master station and sends data to the master station, and EM 277A can also read and write variable data blocks defined in the CTSC-200 CPU, allows the user to exchange any type of data with the master station.
Components of EM 277A
Status LED is located on the front of the module, address switch, terminal resistance switch ,DP slave interface terminal and user power supply are located on the side of wiring terminal, see as following figure:

- Address switch: Setup by 8 bits dial switch, and expressed in binary form, the available range is 0~126.
- Note A1/B1 and A2/B2 are both RS-485 electric port, consistent internal electric characters, you can choose to connect one or two group.
- PROFIBUS DP communication between S7-300 and EM277A of CTSC-200PROFIBUS DP communication between S7-300 and EM 277A of CTSC-200 need S7-300 station configuration in STEP7, no need to configure and program the communication in CTSC-200 system, just sort out the data to be communicated and store it in the V storage area corresponding to the hardware I/O address of S7-300 configuration EM 277A slave station.EM277B is a modular slave station device for PROFIBUS DP network, which communicates with the DP master station.EM277B can connect up to six extension modules for digital or analog input and output.EM277B USES terminals to connect PROFIBUS network instead of standard connectors, and baud rate is automatically adjusted to be consistent with the main station.
